Photos are important in anything that involve the internet. People are not content on just reading an article or going through sites, they want pictures that either supplement it or sometimes even just an infographic. That’s where sites like Flickr and Photobucket come into play. And this is also where Quickr Pickr makes itself useful.
I thought I was dreaming when I saw this. A bunch of my favorite characters all going up against each other on the same screen. Characters like Goku from Dragonball, Uzumaki Naruto and more. It seemed like a fan made poster as well. But much to my joy, J-Stars Victory Vs is very real.
The Purge is a psychological thriller movie. My impression before watching the movie when I saw the poster was that it was a S.A.W. or Friday the 13th style film where a killer goes and “purges” dudes. I saw the trailer for this movie a few minutes before walking into the theater and it seems that it’s not at all what it seems.

If you write a blog or maintain a website, it’s quite essential to get a lot of exposure. Social media plays a role in this since it’s technically free advertising that you get. This would include social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter and Google Plus as well as news aggregating sites like Digg and Stumble upon. There are a lot of different ways to go about this, one of which is making sure that your readers get a chance to like or share your articles with their friends via a floating sidebar. I’ll show you how in this post.

I have been so stoked and excited to watch Pacific Rim since it was announced sometime last year. The very notion of giant monsters fighting huge robots was more than enough to blow my mind. Well it’s finally here and it was such an irony that the night it was showing, I had to be out of town. But I finally got a chance to watch it. And here’s what I think spoiler-free.

I recently purchased 2 One Piece toys model kits from Japan, the first of which i already reviewed here. The second set is all about the model kit pirate ship, Thousand Sunny, and I have yet to put it together. I’m still exploring if I can paint it to have a more realistic color. Before that happens though, I just want to share my experience of when expectations do not meet reality.
So after months of waiting for my Ouya to arrive and multiple lovely emails with the Ouya support team and countless follow up emails, it has finally arrived. The kickstarter campaign I had backed more than a year ago where I spent about $150 for a proof of concept is finally here.

Sharknado! Literally a shark tornado. Tornado with sharks inside! How awesome is that? This movie is going to be dumb for sure. But it’s awesome dumb. I don’t even know what it’s about or why it’s happening. But the best thing about dumb movies is that it doesn’t matter.
Whenever there is a Steam sale, I am happy and afraid at the same time. Mainly because Valve has perfected the craft of playing the tune to magically hypnotize my money out of my wallet. Well whatever that is, it’s taking all of my powers to stop me from pressing the purchase button each time there is a great deal going on.
Fighting games have always been a staple in the video game community. It’s fun to pick up a controller with another friend and beat the heck out of each other. The good thing is that they are easy for anyone to understand. Just get your opponent’s health to zero and you win. Now fighting games can be played at a low level where you just pick up and mash buttons. Or you can play at a high level and join insane tournaments. Evo is that tournament.
We have to start calling these games MOBAs (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena). These are 5v5 games that usually involves picking a hero and having a split at the middle of the map and the goal is to kill the enemy base. For the purposes of this article I will talk about Dota, but the content is very applicable to other MOBAs as well.
There’s this new game that’s making it’s debut on Kickstarter namely Soul Saga. For those of you like me who have been starved for a good RPG (role playing game) from the days of the PS1 and PS2, this has you covered.
Pacific Rim is almost here and I am officially excited. Not that I haven't been for a while now. This is going to be one of the greatest movies of the year that I will eventually have on my bluray that will play once every few months together with LotR and Matrix.

The power of Android. Having the ability to use custom ROMs is one of the big features that sets it apart from the competition. I have been on custom ROMs ever since I learned how to root my phone. MIUI was one of the first ROMs I tried which I liked a lot because of all the customization options. I was kind of bummed though when Xiaomi, the company who made MIUI, stopped updating it for my Galaxy S2 device after ICS to prioritize their own MI-1 phones. So I switched to westcrip's Resurrection Remix ROM which was quite good and stable. That was until I saw that Xiaomi's development for MIUI was finally updated to Jellybean on my device, I was reluctant to go back since I was happy with Resurrection already. But of course, I was proven wrong.
Ever heard about this game called Animal Kaiser? Maybe you’ve seen it. It’s an arcade-only game that involves animals fighting each other. If you’ve been around video game arcades, you will have seen kids carrying around card binders and scanning them into the game. Ring a bell now?
Hey, remember Tamagotchis? They were all the craze back then. The small egg like device where you can have a virtual pet and take care of it from birth until death. I remember having a dinosaur egg Tamagotchi back when I was in elementary school. I would try my best to watch over it every now and then and would be quite disappointed when it suddenly dies. Well, someone thought that it would be a good idea to bring these back to mobile phones. Tamagotchi L.i.f.e. from NAMCO BANDAI Games Inc. is here for both Android and iOS devices and it’s free.
Gru and the minions are back for more mischief in Despicable Me 2. This movie was being hyped up for more than a year now with the minions being the mascots. They had that banana song which showcases some of the 3D features that movie was touted to have. Being the second adventure in the series, does the movie deliver or fall flat like so many sequels?
Want to experience 7.1 surround sound on your PC? For free? Razer has you covered. For a limited time, they are waiving their $20 fee and giving away their Razer Surround software for free. All you need is a PC or laptop that runs windows, and a pair of headphones.
Here’s another movie about blowing up the White House. We’ve had our fair share of these movies at least just in 2013 so I was feeling quite lukewarm going into the White House Down screening. But it does have two of my favorite actors in Jamie Foxx (since Willie Beamen in Any Given Sunday) and Channing Tatum (She’s the Man) so I went. So what does the latest capitol destruction movie have for us this time?
