There are just some movies that you’ll really walk away feeling great. It doesn’t matter whether it’s good or bad, all the matters is that you feel good and satisfied. The upcoming Mr. Peabody and Sherman from Dreamworks Animations is one of those types of movies.

Mr. Peabody is super smart, an inventor, Olympic medalist, genius, a great cook and has that James bond-y vibe. And he’s also a dog. A beagle!! ♥♥♥ So after everything he has accomplished, he decides to adopt a baby boy named Sherman and that’s where the adventure starts, while the boy grows up.

It looks like the story will be based on Mr. Peabody and Sherman’s life at around 6-8 years old. Sherman gets into trouble when he manages to misuse Mr. Peabody’s time machine to mess up history. It seems like a very simple and fun plot for the whole family.

So here are the reasons why you will enjoy this no matter what:
  1. 1. It’s a story about a boy and a dog. Any story about a man and his best friend is great. Examples would be Marley and Me, I am Legend, Hachi, Bolt, Beethoven

  2. 2. It has a Beagle in it! It’s going to be cute as heck. Examples would be my dog Kimono, Snoopy and Underdog

  3. 3. The main character is voiced by Ty Burrell and the other main girl character is voiced by Ariel Winter. Familiar? It’s Phil and Alex Dunphy from Modern family.

  4. 4. The makers are from good pedigree. Director Rob Minkoff has done great animal movies like Lion King and Stuart Little. Then of course there’s Dreamworks Animations who doesn’t need any other promoting.

Mr. Peabody & Sherman is based on characters from Jay Ward from way back in the 60s. They usually appeared as side characters in the Rocky and Bullwinkle cartoon.
